Harvest Hills Association Seminar on Zion Friday to Sunday 21-23 September 2001 What Could Zionic Communities Look Like? Purposes of this year's seminar:
- To clarify the vision and values of Zionic community and move toward commitment.
- To enable the spiritual, intellectual, practical and economic dimensions to come together in the pursuit of a just community.
- To explore how the contributions of all ages may be enhanced and celebrated.
Visionaries of all ages have longed for social renewal. Restoration scriptures affirm humankind's dream of living out God's intent on earth. In an unjust world where people feel isolated, let us gather and consider the nature of intentional community in the Christian tradition. Together, let us seek the best of our experience, the fruits of rational thinking, and our highest spiritual natures as we reinterpret Zion for our time.

Fall Gathering November 10-11 CPBA and the Temporalities Committee Stewardship Activities.
Steve Schultz and Bob Giertz will be presenting an overview of Stewardship similar to the one done on August 19, 2000. The focus is on unordained men as well as the Aaronic Priesthood--all are invited to attend the break-out sessions. We plan to use PowerPoint Presentations to show both what Stewardship is and the appropriate responses that Stewards need to make.
We will also focus on the role of the Aaronic Priesthood to help them become familiar with the principles of Stewardship and to begin teaching these principles in the homes as part of a Priesthood Visiting Program. Restoration Branches participating in "training the trainers" sessions will be better equiped to facilitate the teaching of Stewardship using the tools and resources developed by members of the Temporalities Council and the CPBA.
The Council currently is expanding a self-study workbook which will be offered for sale to those attending the Fall Gathering and making the workbook available to individuals after the Fall Gathering. The Workbook is a continuing work-in-progress which will be revised and expanded in the coming months to provide adequate resources for good Stewards.
There will be two break-out sessions on Saturday, November 11th. One at 11:00 and the second following lunch at 1:00 p.m. The Stewardship presentation will be done in two-parts. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions to maximize familiarization with available resources.
